Application Study On The Skill Of Alignment In Landscape Architecture

Landscape design has rapidly risen in the progress of urban modernization. Designers mostly discuss the cultural background, history, connotation of ideorealm, idea and principle of the field, but rarely practical design skill. The development of gardens goes hand in hand with art, and landscape doesn’t refer to physical figures. It should firstly meet the art aesthetic demand of the public, which needs good organization of each element in the garden. Aesthetic arousal is from the outside to the inside, which needs objective form as the carrier to arouse people’s sense organs and accept the information. Alignment is an objective form that exist in the landscape. It is a regular pattern as well as a technique. Combining factors of garden landscape and using various alignment skill, different functions and psychological response will be produced in particular space and environment, thus arousing people’s aesthetic perception.This paper, based on the inscape factors and principles of landscape design, rational analysis and a number of real cases, combines the study of aligned composition of picture and factors of garden landscape. And hence get the following outcomes:(1)This paper firstly defines the alignment in landscape, puts forward the basic concept of alignment skill, and concludes features and types of applicable space of alignment skill. Based on the theories of ergonomics, garden aesthetics, environmental psychology and structure science, after analysis, this paper got the conclusion:there are four functions of alignment in garden:channel construction, handling of dispersion, space division, landscape sketch building and distance relationship; three psychological effects:the implication of lane, frontier and guide; and emotional factors produced:beauty, order, sublime and delight. To perceive the functional relationship between alignment and the environment, the mutual effect of alignment and people.(2)Integrated with the principles of art design, connecting volume, color, fabric and material carrier, following the four basic principles put forward in the paper, I designed alignment forms that is in accordance with aesthetic orientation.(3)With cases, this paper lists the alignment and means of the seven garden material elements:structures, landform, hillstone, waterscape, paving, lighting, and botany. Meanwhile, it puts forward the alignment concept of space and obtain the alignment of time and space formed by the timeliness of time-space alignment.(4)By studying the relationship between alignment direction and time-space interface, the paper concludes three alignment forms:horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, and stereoscopic alignment. It also concludes nine alignment techniques according to the form feature, application type and function. And based on that, put forward a combination with the nine alignment, and created a technique of mixed alignment.(5)On the basis of the Hainan ecological software park project, integrating theory with practice to count and show the application of alignment in the project, thus manifesting the instructional significance of alignment in landscape design.
