The UHV power transmission technology and its corresponding equipment manufacturing technology are the world’s cutting-edge technologies in the fields of electrical science & technology and electrical equipment manufacturing. In China, the development of UHV power grid can solve such problems as inadequate transmission capacity of existing 500 k V grid and tight land resource, which is the best way to solve the transmission efficiency, investment cost and environmental pressure. In addition, it is in line with China’s national conditions, thus, it has been included in National Medium and Long Term Science & Technology Development Planning and Major Development Program to revitalize the equipment manufacturing industry. As one of the key equipment for this project, it is very significant for the successful R&D and development of UHV AC transformer.In this paper, combining with many years’ experience for producing transformers of Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric CO., Ltd(hereinafter referred to as “Tianwei Baobian”).With research results at home and abroad for reference, first elaborated the significance of developing UHV transformer and relevant theory, on this basis, introduces Tianwei Baobian electric co., LTD. An overview of research ability, combining with Tianwei to liquidate some transformer development basic condition, from the economic, technical, environmental impact, social impact from four aspects, Tianwei for variable transformer upgrade project feasibility analysis.In view of the main factors affecting the index using the method of multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to comprehensive analysis of the project, finally to develop UHV transformer to Tianwei bartender’s upgrade project to make comprehensive evaluation, further verify the feasibility of the project implementation, instructional conclusions from the above research, and has a guiding significance for other similar project..According to the above research, this paper establishes the evaluation index system and evaluation model is reasonable and effective, and can be used for transformer remolding project comprehensive evaluation study. at the last, this article gives the expectation based on the contents and research direction in the future, which will provide a certain reference significance for the future research...
