After Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant accident, the Spent Fuel Pool Cooling problem after losing pay raises everyone’s attention. The experimental design a passive Spent Fuel Pool sprinkler system, and verified its spray effect. Experiments spent fuel pool of spent fuel assemblies in a group with 3×3 bundle electric heating rods simulate nuclear power plants. Analyzed on subsequent spray spray flow pattern in the cold state, the shower popular single rods were compared. Analysis of the cooling effect of spray cooling in a heated state. Explore different spray flow and spray angle on the spent fuel pool cooling effect of the spray.
