In recent years, China’s commercial entity economy has been under the impact of Internet consumption, leading to the fact that commercial real estate and landscape design and development of commercial open space also get stuck in a bottleneck. Based on the research on landscape design of commercial open space, this paper is dedicated to effectively promoting the recovery of the urban entity economy, and improving the overall condition of urban open space, in order to transform public commercial open spaces into integrated service areas of high quality with various functions including popularity gathering, city landmark, culture and education, etc.Through the spatial creation of human scale, and the construction of natural rest areas based on the psychological needs of the children and the elderly who will be attracted, entire families will be attracted, and families will become the main target groups of commercial entity economy. On one hand, the elderly can enhance their confidence, and keep up the spirits.Children’s curiosity, creativity, and ability to learn independently will be aroused, and children’s physical and mental health will be better maintained. On the other hand, commercial entities will be more suitable for household consumption, and commercial open space will become an important place for family information exchange and recreation.Firstly, the paper conducts a comprehensive study and review on the academic literature on children and the elderly’s behavior in open spaces and corresponding environmental psychology. Then it studies the world frontier of landscape design of commercial open space, and the misunderstandings and shortcomings that exist during our country’s creation of commercial open spaces, so as to provide references and suggestions for the landscape construction of commercial open space.In addition, on the basis of theoretical research integrated with analysis of actual cases in Beijing and Tianjin, the author obtained first-hand materials by taking photographs of the entities,interviewing the crowds and other methods. The paper makes an analysis of the parts worth learning and the existing issues, and further summarizes the strategies and priorities of the landscape design of commercial open space that can meet the needs of Special age group inorder to explore a new model of landscape design of commercial open space.On the basis of theory and field survey and analysis, the author explores the practical application of the design theories studied in this paper, with the case practice of Tanga The Commercial Hotel open space landscape design in Beijing.
