Secondary roadways is a major part of transport system in China, which have been used greatly in the transport of large numbers of mineral resources and important materials, but due to the bad climate and vehicle overloading condition the roads (bituminous concrete) have suffered from a variety of damages. The worst of the damage is caused from slippage between road layers. Slippage between layers usually happens on the road where frequently overloaded vehicles pass by and particularly serious in sloped and corner sections of the roads. Therefore, in order to avoid the occurrence of slip damage on slopes and corners of roads and make the secondary road system better for the national economic construction, proper research of shearing slippage between layers of bituminous concrete on secondary roads has significant meaning and practical value. We did a large volume of domestic and oversea researches for slippage of bituminous roads problem, mainly on surface and substrate structures, function layer’s material and construction technique. However, we found that anti-slide, especially for abrupt slopes and corners on bituminous roads for secondary roads, is very limited, but the right design for bituminous roads structure and breakthrough, especially on anti-slide technique, is very important for secondary roads’performance. The research object of this paper is typical bituminous concrete structure using the secondary road from Jixi to Gejiu in Yunnan province as the project background, mainly studied on the following aspects;(1) Investigations on gradient damages of slopes and corners of roads, causing the slippage based on domestic and external studies.(2) Using finite differential software FLAC3D to establish3D models, comprehensively analyzed how factors:gradients of slopes, radius of corners, loads, contacting conditions between layers could influence on the bituminous concrete structure, and summarized laws of each factors about how they are influencing the bituminous concrete structure.(3) For curing the slippage problem, this paper proposed two methods for anti-shearing stress capacity of bituminous roads. One is designing a bituminous road which attached an anti-slide key. The key is designed on the upper structure of the substrate, located on the surface layer. Another method is creating a Geocell structure, part of the Geocell is embedded in the substrate, another part is arranged inside the surface structure.(4) In this article, two methods are comprehensively analyzed, mainly on how those methods improving the capacity on anti-shear stress of the substrate and surface layer structures. The laws of how those two methods affects anti-shearing stress capacity of the roads could be concluded through the mechanical response of the structures. Confirming anti-slide key and Geocell methods has a positive influence on anti-shearing stress capacity of the roads.
