In recent years, more and more fan coil units are used widely as one of terminal equipments of air conditioning. Company which produces fan coil units is mostly small company. It often leads to the reducing of quality of fan coil units, and consumers often are not satisfied with the quality of fan coil units. A set of test system for fan coil units testing is designed and built, which has perfect functions, high testing precision, wide measurement range for the testing of fan coil performance, based on national standards in this work, and the test system can be used for multifunctional teaching activities in HVAC. The main contents and conclusions are as the following:1. A test unit is designed and built for fan coil units performance testing, based on the national standard GB/T19232-2003. The test unit mainly includes test chamber, cold and heat source system, air treatment system and air flow measurement system, and so on.2. A set of software for the test system of fan coil units performance is designed. The testing software has the function of the test condition parameters setting, reading real-time data, continuous recording, saving and processing test data. The test software function is perfect, and system crashes and data leakage phenomenon is not found during the long test process. It fits the requirement of stable operation for a long time during the process of fan coil unit performance test.3. The performance of a fan coil and temperature uniformity of the test chamber is measured. The test data are analyzed. The experimental data of fan coil performance show that cooling quantity and heating quality are4.8kW and7.3kW. Their balance errors are4.5%, and2%, respectively. It shows that the test system meets the national standards of GB/T19232-2003. The temperature difference of the test chamber between any two points is less than0.3℃. It meets the requirements of fan coil performance test.
