With the rapid development of architecture both home and abroad,architectural design and technological analysis are closely knit in the presentprocess of architectural design; many new technologies are applied anddevelop in the transformation and optimization of architectural design andindoor environment. Material technology, lighting technology, cool-producingand heat-producing technology, ventilation technology have been widelyapplied and used; and their design and analysis methods and software tools aresorted out into different groups, in which Ecotect, Energy Plus, Fluent,DIALux, Radiance simulate and analyze the energy consumption of indooreco-friendly space design, test the energy consumption of natural ventilation,lighting, hot water and electric devices as well as simulate and analyze theoptimized application so as to provide guidance for indoor environmentaldesign in the early or middle stage of design.Lighting is an important component in indoor and outdoor architecturaldesign; good lighting can create a comfortable atmosphere and raise theefficiency of work and learning. However, in the actual preliminary design, it does not make it clear whether the functionality of the future scheme is enough,whether applicability can reach the ideal effect or whether illuminationdistribution accords with standards and norms. These problems will appear andbe tested after the construction is finished. But for some large-scale,middle-scale or complex schemes, whether experienced calculation and actualeffect accord with each other should be accurately quantized in advance;therefore, auxiliary software of computer can play an important role in thisaspect and thus it gets more and more attention by designers.The development and application of computer technology and theincreasing maturity of computer auxiliary design enable a great number oflighting calculation software to be developed, through which lighting resultscan be got in a short time. Designers focus on the design itself throughdistracting from the complex calculation process and huge calculation amount;meanwhile they can constantly change the scheme according to calculationresults so as to make the design more scientific and persuasive, whichembodies the necessity of the development and application of computerauxiliary design from another perspective.DIALux and Ecotect, as the auxiliary software of light environmentdesign, play a huge role in indoor and outdoor lighting, emergency lighting,large-scale sports lighting, glaze control and analysis, improvement andoptimization of sun-shading equipment as well as energy-saving andeco-friendly design; they accurately simulate and optimize the design scheme through the parametrical output and input. This paper first provides a basicintroduction to auxiliary design as well as its application in actual cases bothhome and abroad so as to show its characteristics and advantages; second, itintroduces DIALux and Ecotect and also shows its using method; third, itadopts stimulation and analysis conducted by DIALux and Ecotect in theactual cases of reading rooms, proves the judgmental ability and accuracy ofauxiliary design and then proposes related optimization and improvementmethods; finally, through analysis and test, it puts forward its future prospectsof development and application in order to show its actual value andsignificance.
