Routing testing is the essential procedure to the electrical connector that from development to delivery. Application of the electric connector is very extensive, but it’s common accidents because of the connector’s poor contact. In the electric contact theory, the minimum requirement for the connector is to ensure the low and the stable contact resistance. To achieve the purpose, we need to do routine testing regularly in the process of the design and development, so we can ensure connector’s reliability. Therefore, it is necessary to do routine testing to improve the quality and ensure the reliability of the connector in its working environment.There are a lot of experimental projects in the routine testing, the purposes of the routing testing is not only to detect the weak link of the connector but also can save the time and the test samples. Therefore we need to analysis the failure mechanism of routine testing.To optimizing the test sequence of routine testing based on the connector’s failure mechanism.This thesis mainly summarized the connector’s failure modes and the prevention measure, and analysis the connector’s failure mechanism. In routine testing, the electricalperformance testing mainly as the performance index to measure the influence of the mechanical performance testing and the environmental performance testing. The test content of the environment performancetest is the most. Firstly, the environmental factors are more than other factors. Secondly, it is essential for the connectors that ensure the normally and reliably work in the working environment.This thesis take the failure mechanism of routine testing as the basis, to analysis the existing routine testing table, and to optimized the testing defects. To Verify the rationality of the optimization scheme through the test.
