In recent years, the production and sales of automotive in China continues to grow, the road are moreand more busy, people travel become more and more convenient,but it also caused lots of accidents,Theaccidents which caused by automotive often more severe,there are more and more challenges in highway.With the development of technology, more safety technologies are on the agenda, including identificationfor vehicle and the distance estimation for vehicle, this paper aims to application of particle filter algorithmdistance estimation for automotive anti-collision. The main work of this paper include the followingaspects.In terms of particle filtering algorithms,the main study are the basis theoretical and the scope of itsapplication, Identified that particle filter applied to objects state estimation has a great advantage. Thispaper summarizes the filter theory of state estimation, then lead to the particle filter, realizing the keytechnologies of the particle filter by experiment, and compares the particle filter with the extended Kalmanfilter show that the particle filter be more excellent when applied to state estimation.In terms of car distance estimation,first introducing the research institutions of the distanceestimation comprehensively, through comparative analysis using simulation experiments clearly show thatthe model based on characteristics is close to the actual driving. Making a combination of the particle filterand the state of vehicle, than summarized the basic stages of brake deceleration for automotive.In this waychoose background of highway, conducted experiments with particle filter. than analyzed the results forthe experiment, it shows that using particle filtering algorithm to estimate the state of automotive canreduce measurement error by two meters, the average error by using particle filtering is two meters.Finally, make a summary to the work what has done on the text, pointed out the shortcoming for thispaper work,noting that some contents need to be improved in the future, expecting that the research in thestudy of automotive anti-collision.
