With the development of market economy in our country, the vehiclesincreased rapidly, but the traffic accidents have also occurred much morefrequently. Statistically, there are many factors like road conditions, vehiclecondition etc, the physical and mental qualities of the driver is particularlyimportant, their reaction speed is the main cause of traffic accidents when theroad situations change. Therefore, it’s significant to protect the driver and theothers’ lives and reduce traffic accidents by testing, researching, making statisticsand evaluating the behavior ability of driver, and studying the relationshipbetween the driver’s reaction speed and traffic accidents. This paper do some analyses about the driver’s reaction time, then summarizeand analyze the corresponding results of previous studies, and investigate therelationship between driver’s reaction time and driving behavior. The articleintroduces the concept of the driver’s comprehensive ability, and demonstratesthe importance and necessity of testing it. According to this view, design andcomplete the driver’s comprehensive ability testing device. This prototype make89single-chip microcomputer as the core, the response part adopts real carmechanical structure, and the stimulate part adopts the software like Unity,3Dmax to achieve3d virtual simulation, which can achieve objective andaccurate measurement for driver’s reaction time and other information. Undertaketest experiment, analyze and research the result of the test, furthermore, discussdriver’s safety and reasonable scope of reaction time. This paper not only toprevent and reduce traffic accidents, to ensure the safety of themselves and otherslife which has important significance, but also provide objective evidence andaccurate method for measuring the reaction of drivers behavior ability and time.
