| Human factor plays a dominant role among the factors that lead to traffic accidents,among which the psychological factors of the drivers is closely related to the driving safety,especially the attention as the pointing and focus of the psychological behaviour.In the statistics on traffic accidents,driver’s inattention and inappropriate attention is one of the main causes of traffic accidents.In order to effectively prevent accidents,minimize the loss of human life and property,the study on the capacity of the driver’s attention which is one of the quality of driver’s attention is imperative.Differences of old and new driver’s attention capacity as the start,this research was based on KMRTDS driving simulation platform and study the driver’s differences of attention capacity at gradual increasing driving task load.The mastery extent,eye movement behavior and the second task reaction time of divers in different road environment information were analyzed.The result revealed new and old drivers’ attention capacity at different road environments.Specific results as follows:Firstly,analyses of factors that can influence attention capacity during driving were based on drivers,vehicles,highways and surroundings of the highway traffic system.Among these factors,the necessary information and the directly relevant elements that associated with the drivers’ attention capacity when driving were extracted.Based on this information,we can conduct further researches.Secondly,arrangment of the road information in a ladder-type,in which the amount of road information was listed from small to big and used to build scenarios of driving simulation,is carried out.Suitable subjects are selected according to driver’s driving performances.The 30 subjects are selected to achieve the test,and their ability of information acquisition,eye movement data,subjective evaluation and the brake reaction time during the experiment by driving simulation platform and eye tracker.Then the.And the statistics acquisited from the test are analyzed scientifically.Finally,using the basic statistical analysis to analyze the driving task master information accuracy,the driver eye movement data,subjective evaluation form and braking reaction time.The results indicate:the driver’s attention capacity exists and has an upper limitation.There are significant differences between the new drivers and the old drivers in the attention capacity.In situation of less information and less traffic flow,the driver can be better to complete the driving task and the second task,and when traffic and the amount of information increased the new and old driver starts to disappear discrepancies.The old drivers’ attention capacity is bigger than the new driver obviously,and their attention is also more stable than the new driver;The new driver’s attention is often focused on the center of the road ignoring to see the surrounding areas where should be to pay attention,and the old driver have greater range attention;The old driver watched a broader area,the glanced frequency is higher than the new;Through the analysis of the pupil,we can conclude that the new driver has greater mental load and intended to be more tense;In the driver’s braking reaction time of the second task above:the old driver performance more stable,while the new driver’s performance varied widely in the different road information.It explanated the new driver consume a significant portion of the resources to pay attention to the main task,failing to take into account the second driving task correspondingly;Finally,from the analysis of subjective evaluation data also shows the attention capacity of the old driver is better than the new.This paper mainly adopted the method of the driver’s primary task to design experiments,and analysis the driver’s master degree of the driving information which should be noted in the driving task,and the combination of eye gaze behavior,eye Glance behavior,pupillary changes and the second task of Brake reaction time as a assisted analysis;The results show the attention capacity of the different driver is varied.At the same time the size of driver’s basic attention capacity is obtained,these may improve detrimental surroundings design of road information,providing a reference for traffic safety. |
