With the increasing of atmospheric pollution, indoor air pollution impacted by atmospheric pollution and more serious has become the focus of global attention. Therefore, indoor air quality (IAQ) is an important research topic in the environmental field of current international, especially Chinese. In the many measures to improve the IAQ, air cleaners can effectively remove the indoor pollutants, is an indispensable means of controlling indoor air pollution.The subject is based on the analysis of the status quo of indoor pollution in our country and the existing purifying technology. Based on the purification principle of active carbon absorption method and nano-TiO2photocatalytic reaction, sensing technology, LCD technology and touch-sensitive technology, a multifunctional indoor air cleaner and its control system based on Atmegal28was putted forward. The cleaner could absorb dust and microbial filtration, disinfection, removal of harmul gases. The system is able to realize the monitoring of indoor air quality and realize the automatic control of the air cleaner according to the test results.In this paper, firstly, the research background of air cleaner was introduced, and then the domestic and international development and status quo of air cleaner were described. Then the used purification methods and techniques of air cleaner were described and analyzed detailly. Contacting the practial application, the design of the overall scheme was completed. Secondly, the paper introduced the hardware and software design of the control system, including the design of air quality testing module, human-computer interaction module, pyroelectric infrared switching module and driving module. And the fan control strategies were putted forward. Finally, the running of the system was tested and the evaluation scheme of purification effect was designed, did experiments and analysis of the purification ability of solid particles PM2.5and gaseous pollutants TVOC. And the deficiencies, precautions in the design and the improved direction of the design were discussed.
