Currently, our country is still in the stage of accelerating the process of industrialization, the rapid development of economy and society has the extremely high dependence on resources and energy consumption. how to maintain the rapid and steady development of economy and society at the same time to save natural resources and environment pollution become a difficult problem to be solved, therefore remanufacturing industry has great development potential when the industrial environment located in such a predicament.Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, this paper carry out a research about how to decide the engine active remanufacturing optimal time. For the issue of how to determine the engine remanufacturing timing, avoid "remanufacturing in advance" and "excessive use of remanufacturing" phenomenon is happen, active remanufacturing timing choice evaluation model by the change of crankshaft wear is presented. Expounds the concept of active remanufacturing, clarified the difference between manufacturing and remanufacturing. Analysis of the cause of eccentric wear on crankshaft, and building the service time and the crankshaft connecting rod journal wear relations function. Analysis the engine energy consumption and environmental emissions basis of the product entire lifecycle aspect, by establishing the virtual simulation model of internal combustion engine including wear clearance, obtained slider-crank mechanism dynamic response with wear clearance, and get different abrasion value corresponding energy consumption in the process of engine service. Using genetic algorithm optimization method to solve the issue of the average annual energy consumption and the average environmental emission multi-objective factors, by considering the engine energy consumption and environmental, the optimal time of active remanufacturing were obtained under the two factors. Finally, a certain type of single cylinder diesel engine as the case study to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method, select the connecting rod journal of wear as parameters, obtained engine active remanufacturing point in time under certain conditions.
