The Research Of U Boom’s Shaping Processes

With the rapid development of truck crane, the lifting weight of the truck crane is becoming much heavier, which results the higher requirement of the boom. It is requested that the boom can carry more with light weight, which put forward a lot of improvement measures of the boom section shape; But along with the complexity of the cross section shape, its machining requirements are in higher level, even sometimes it is difficult to meet the design requirements.This topic mainly studies the manufacturing process and the method of u-shaped arm. Based on plate bending,plastic deformation, and bending rebound phenomenon and study its influencing factors to find out the u-shaped arm forming technique and forming mould parameters, Determine the main process parameters of u-shaped cross section fold curved process through the finite element analysis,theoretical calculation and process experiment ect. And analyse the theory of error which caused by this process, the result show that the process method meet the design requirements.
