Handling stability, as a key indicator to assess the features of a car, is especially critical for the competition-oriented FSAE. This paper takes the Hefei university of technology FSAE racing car as the model to sort out various parameters of these objects and build finished car virtual prototype through Adams/Car, in order to simulate and analyze the handling stability of the finished car based on national test criteria for vehicle safety.This paper introduces the background and status quo of car race as well as the research evolution and assessment method of vehicle handling stability, and explains the basic knowledge of multi-body dynamics on the basis of Adams software. It sets up finished car simulation samples as required by learning from front suspension system optimization. This thesis focuses on the analysis of the racing car un-sprung load in its mass and barycenter changes as well as anti-roll bar, and studies its impact on racing car handling stability, to provide the design of racing car with theoretical foundation.This paper picks up, in accordance with the requirements of dynamic match, appropriate tests to assess the steady-state response and transient response from various dimensions when the car operates so as to evaluate its handling stability. The author designs simulated track based on the race and the real racing circle, makes simulation analysis with Adam/Car to obtain expected data, and assess the preciseness of the test based on the real performance of the racing cars on the track to analyze the goals and conclude the experience.The whole process is incorporated with Adams/Car software to increase the handling stability of the car and obtain correct finished car simulation sample model as well as the factors and regularities affecting handling stability, which is great importance to decreasing racing car design circle and improving design ability.
