Analysis And Research On Performance Of Fsae Racing Car

This paper summarizes performances which a formula-style racing car should have by analyzing the racing work condition of the formula-style racing car, combined with rules of FASE racing car and the characteristics of the track. According to these performances, basic design methods of the parameters of the FSAE racing car are proposed, and the basic direction and objective of FSAE design are determined. It provide some helps in order to avoid the blind design of the FSAE car and establish the right design idea, and provide a reference for the appraisal of FSAE car's design.Through summarized the race experience of FASE and analyzed a variety of FSAE cars'information, it summarized some performances and structural characteristics which the FSAE racing car should have but the ordinary vehicle dose not have. And by analyzing the purpose of vehicles, it summed up the differences with normal vehicles in the selection of suspension, steering, brake design parameters and structure from the view of playing a good performance and achieving good results.The whole research concentrates on the performance analysis of the FSAE car, and based on the theory of multi-body system dynamics, Hunan University FSAE racing car virtual prototyping is established under the ADAMS/Car. And by analyzing simulation results, I study the influences of the selection of suspension frequency and the change of tire performance on the performance of FSAE racing car, which has practical significance for the improvement and design of FSAE car in the future.
