With theoretical derivation, FEM calculation and dismantling simulation testing, anexploratory study on the issues of dismantling of the compressor impeller and shaft wasmade in this paper. The paper has two main parts:First, in this paper, orthogonal table is used to arrange relevant parameters for finiteelement analysis, range analysis and regression analysis method are applied to dealtwith the calculated data for establishing mathematical model. According to data analysisof hydraulic dismantling orthogonal table, the maximum contact stress and deformationof the impeller are affected by interference between the impeller and shaft. Impellerwith rectangular slot has a stress concentration at the bottom of tank. Under the same oilpressure, a gap of the impeller mating surfaces with bilateral circular groove is bigger tobe conducive for hydraulic dismantling.Second, dismantling simulation testing is used to study the damage of fitting surfaceof impeller and shaft at different contact stress, finding the corresponding surfacecontact stress when the interface damage is minimum after the dismantling simulationtest, in order to support the data for realizing dismantling of impeller and shaft. Throughthe analysis of test results, the more the interface contact stress, the greater the interfacedamage. The damaged grade of test pieces is established by the test results. Under thesame conditions, the upper test pieces with the same direction lines is more damagedwhen compared to the down test pieces with the vertically direction. The moreparallelism error of the down specimen, the greater the surface damage. The thrustvalues calculated by FEM is close to experimental measurement, so the test withnon-clean surface can be simulated hydraulic dismantling of the impeller and shaft.
