The stainless steel composite plate possesses the outstanding performances of high strength, anticorrosion, wearing resistance, long life and so on. So it is widespreadly used to substitute austenitic stainless steel in petrochemical industry and other regions, perticularly in manufacturing pressure vessels. But the stainless steel composite steel plate exists the phenomena that composite bed thickness is uneven. When processing beveling and uncovering composite bed, the composite bed couldn’t be uncovered completely. As welding base plate, the stainless steel remaining on base plate would be melted, it will result in increases of alloying elements in welding line and welding jointer getting hard and fragile and easy to generate crackle. Therefore, the research on welding performance and technology of stainless steel composite plate would bring very important engineering practice value. In this paper, the development of welding technology and technical at home and abroad is concerned; the influence of different alloying element component and structure on welding and using performance of composite steel plate is also discussed. By stainless steel welding characteristics of complex theoretical analysis combined with field test results, some stainless steel sheet used for the welding process. Thesis research results show that adding a stabilizing element in stainless steel, welding, may precede the formation of chromium carbides, thus ensuring the corrosion resistance of welded joints; transition layer in the welded stainless steel clad plate, to use chromium, high nickel content welding material to improve the crack resistance, to ensure the welding quality.
