Study On Taiwanesetraditional Settlements Space Form Based On Fractal Theory

Traditional settlement is formed under the combined effects of specific natural conditions, geographical and socio-cultural, it carries with various regional characteristics of natural history, social and cultural characteristics and development process,it is priceless historical and cultural heritage of a nation and an area.But with the development of modern urbanization process,The contradiction betwween the planning、protection and development of traditional settlement space form,and the current social and economic development has increasingly prominent.It has get more and more people’s attention.Taiwanese traditional settlement as an important carrier of Taiwanese culture,it has great research value for history, culture and modern extension.In this paper,based on thesituation survey of the taiwanese traditional settlement,it is applying some basic theory of Scale level","box dimension "and" fractal "and" fractal dimension, and will have a quantitative analysis and research on Taiwanese traditional settlement spatial form.In this paper,i will demonstrate the feasibility of the fractal theory and analysis method,based on the taiwanese traditional settlement survey of several examples.Comprehensive analysis and discussion by the fractal dimension calculation chart and fractal dimension calculation results,have a in-depth study on taiwanese traditional settlement, Summarizes the fractal characteristics of its existence,Explore the spatial form of existence taiwanese traditional settlement regular pattern, Innovative new method for the study of Traditional Settlement,Provide strong theoretical support and planning strategies and practical guidelines in order to protect Taiwanese traditional settlement development.
