In recent years, due to frequent earthquakes on buildings, bridges, will bringdevastating disaster, the collapse of the building related to people’s daily life, anddestruction of bridges, roads impact the country’s economic lifeline. Especially theWenchuan earthquake and Yushu earthquake, resulting in bridges and buildings indestroyed too many to count, a number of structural damaged. The earthquakedamaged structure and some ancient monumental buildings,if they be built again thatneed to spend a lot of manpower and financial resources, on the the current situationof our country does not match.This topic originates from the Jilin province science and technologydevelopment project, the project name:"key technologies research of earthquakedamage of bridge structure reinforcement of basalt fiber", Many earthquake in ourprovince in the past two years, resulting in varying degrees of damageto infrastructure. Because our province is in the rapid development of the economicbase period, construction and maintenance of infrastructure grow with each passingday, the research of this project hope for Jilin province and even the national economyconstruction, and provide technical support and strong security.This topic in view of the basalt fiber on concrete columns are strengthened, andthe concrete column reinforced are axial compression test and low cyclicloading test, according to test results, analysis of concrete column on the bearingcapacity of the strengthened, damage state and seismic performance. Finally, usingthe large finite element software ABAQUS to simulate test, software analysis resultsare compared with the experimental results analysis.This topic in the axial compression test, produced three kinds of concrete cylinderdiameter, diameter were300mm,400mm,500mm, and5root. The same diametercolumn2layer,3layer are stuck,4layers,5layers of basalt fiber cloth, paste with fullpacket paste. Then the axial compression test, the phenomenon that is not reinforcedconcrete cylindrical failure is a sudden brittle failure, bearing capacity of reinforced concretecracking load and ultimate cylinder have been improved obviously, ultimately brittlefailure, but the damage of basalt fiber cloth must sign. With different number of basaltfiber cloth paste, to improve the bearing capacity of the columns to differentdegrees, the concrete column with diameter of300mm, paste the basalt fiber cloth layers fromlow to high were increased by34.1%,65.7%,79.2%,90.6%, the bearing capacityof reinforced concrete columns; the diameter of400mm, increased by31.1%, 62.7%,76.2%, bearing capacity of87.6%reinforced concrete columns of the limit; thediameter of500mm, were increased by21.1%,47.7%,76.2%,82.6%, the ultimate bearingcapacity of reinforced. Obviously improve the bearing capacity of there in forcedconcrete column limit, and the increase with increasing fiber cloth layer and the first after thesmall, so there is an optimal number of reinforcement for concrete column,300mm indiameter, reinforcement optimal for3storeys, concrete column with diameter of400mm, theoptimal reinforcement layer number is3500mm, and the diameter of the concretecolumn, reinforced the optimal layer for4layers, each with a layer of the increase is about30%more than the optimal layer, magnitude of reinforcement will be improved to reduced.Under low cyclic loading experiment, the specimen of concrete column diameter istaken400mm as the representative, a total of4,2,3reinforcement layer and4layersof basalt fiber cloth, through the experiment phenomena and test data shows, not reinforcedconcrete column failure to brittle shear failure, the reinforcement of concrete columnfailure state from the shear failure gradually transformed into flexural failure. Fromthe hysteresis curve can be seen, concrete columns strengthened of hysteresis loop isvery full, energy dissipation capacity has been greatly improved.Finally, using the large-scale finite element analysis software ABAQUS tosimulate test, and compared the analyzed of software and the test results, found thatthe results coincide,the basalt fiber cloth in the application in the actualproject provides a reliable theoretical basis.
