Study On Opening Campus Merging With Its Surrounding Environment

Vast campuses in China have been facing the reconstruction and extension bythe development of Chinese education, which will bring new ideas to the planningof campus construction in our nation. Affected by the educational system, thefunding and the variable idea of the officials, most of the domestic universities arefacing numerous problems such as the campus isolated from the overall area whichmake campus a different world to its outside. Although some practices of campusplanning connect its inner road with external road system and socialize theaccommodation for the aim of properties of opening but they do not deeply reflectthe coexisting with the environment around the campus organically. For somereasons,the environment of many domestic campus have not been constructedopenly like western universities which have many merits such as the coexisting ofthe campus with the exterior environment even the whole community and the shareof the educational sources.Based on the research of the famous universities abroad, one of the mostnoticeable characteristic of the campus is the integrity with its surroundingenvironment and the tolerance and creativity are far more than our colleges anduniversities. Its openness, is not just only the road linked to cities, but is also in adeeper opening—the open environment for the production of active learningatmosphere and students’ active participation enthusiasm.A more open and free campus environment is not only able to make campusand surrounding environment coexisting and coordinated development, but also canmeet the requirements of many citizens who have acquired much more knowledgethan before and they eager to broaden their horizon，therefore universities shouldtake this responsibility.With the study of the development of universities domestic and abroad, manyconclusions have been made through the study of many famous universities aroundthe world in terms of many economic index involved.Based on the conclusion and the data above, the methods and module of thecampus construction under the domestic conditions will be discussed and figuredout.
