Abstract/Summary:
Seismic design method based on seismic hazard analysis is the main study objectof this paper. Starting with a CPSHA example, seismic design method of the most recentChinese, American, European seismic design code were compared and analyzed. Themain work are as below:(1) A engineering site in Qingdao district was taken on as the CPSHA example.From collecting and sorting out the current earthquake date, seismic characteristics andseismicity of region and near-field are evaluated, which can provide basis fordelineating seismic statistical zone and potential seismic source and determiningseismicity parameters in following work.(2) The attenuation relation of earthquake motion in Qingdao is established andCPSHA result of engineering site is calculated, from which bed rock seismicacceleration and bed rock respond spectrum of1%,2%,10%and63%exceedingprobability of50-year can be attained. Design ground motion parameter of engineeringsite can be attained by analysis of soil effect on seismic ground motion.(3) Based on CPSHA result, comparison of seismic fortification criterion, elasticrespond spectrum, seismic design method among the most recent Chinese, American,European seismic design code are discussed. Earthquake action and designdisplacement of RC frame are compared and analyzed as specified in these three codes.
