| Earthquakes are the most serious natural disasters which cause many people die orinjured and the loss of property. We cannot predict accurately when an earthquake willhappy with the current technology, nor can we take the efficient measures to prevent anearthquake from happening. Therefore, the most efficient measure to reduce the damageof earthquakes is to seismic design reasonably based on seismic codes. China, Americaand Europe are the countries or regions where earthquakes happen frequently. However, they have comparative perfect seismic codes and reasonable method of seismic desing, the loss of life and property caused by the previous disastrous earthquakes in Americaand Europe is far less than that in China. Therefore, this thesis compares the seismiccodes of Chinese, American and European, pointing out the differences in seismicdesign and providing references for seismic study and seimic design, which promote thefurther perfect of seismic code in China in order to be brought in line with internationalpractice. The contents and achievement of this thesis include four parts as follow:(1)Contrast the basic requirement of seismic design from six aspects. Namelyseismic precautionary criterion, design methods, site classification, seismic zonation, seismic design response spectrum, importance category and value of gravity loadbetween Chinese, American and European codes; And establish the correspondingrelationship of these codes in site classification, ground motion parameter andimportance category.(2)Contrast the calculation theory and calculation method in bottom shearmethod and mode-superposition response spectrum method between Chinese, Americanand European codes; Taking RC frame structure for example, calculate the earthquake action through bottom shear method and mode-superposition response spectrum method, contrast earthquake action of Chinese, American and European codes intuitively.(3)Contrast seismic measures of reinforced concrete frames from internal forceadjustment and structural measures between Chinese, American and European codes;Contrast the ductility degree of reinforced concrete frames between Chinese, Americanand European codes.(4)Complete the seismic design of reinforced concrete frames based on basicrequirement of Chinese, American and European codes; Contrast the process of seismicdesign and reinforcement of reinforced concrete frames of Chinese, American andEuropean codes. |
