With the rapid development of Chinese economy and the promotion of westerndevelopment, a variety of infrastructure has entered a stage of rapid development,including roads. Because of increasing scale of highway projects and increasedrequirements on the line, it is unavoidable to excavate a variety of high slope, whichformed many excavation slope of complex environment, complex geologicalconditions and large-scale. When the slopes excavated, slope stress state will changesubstantially. And then the slope stress will redistribute, and change the original stateof equilibrium. By the deformation of the excavation,it will be carried out that theslope stress can achieve a new equilibrium. Engineering practice shows that theexcavated slope deformation and slope stability issues are closely related to the timeof excavation, the climate, the extreme natural phenomena and other factors.Construction of stress and strain caused by stress redistribution and creep deformationwill be a long process. Therefore, monitoring slope stability conditions and analyzingtheir characters and deformation process of change is very necessary.With the operation of long-term follow-up monitoring of the slope constructionand acquiring monitoring data to be analyzed, site construction can be correctlyinstructed and slope deformation can be promptly found. Besides, deficiencies ofdesign and construction process can also be found to avoid the occurrence of disasters.In that way, disasters could be effectively avoided. Also, of the monitoring data of theslope can support a comprehensive analysis of the deformation and slope stabilityanalysis. Therefore, safety monitoring of the slope construction and operation hasconsiderable economic and social results.In this paper, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of the existing data of slopemonitoring project, the mainly work contains four area as following:(1) The necessity, importance and usage of the slope safety monitoring duringconstruction and operation has been demonstrated.(2)Different monitoring methods and instrumentation techniques is enumerated,and their characteristics and scope of application is also comprehensively analyzed. Meanwhile, suitable monitoring methods are raised so that the monitoring is suitablewith the actual work, and also of economic security and stabilize utility.(3) Based on monitoring data from multiple monitoring methods, a commondatabase is established. By using C#programming language and Microsoft’s SQLServer2008database technology for monitoring information management systemdesign and implementation, a slope monitoring information management system isestablished,. The system is mainly used to implement the data management ofmonitoring data, monitoring equipment, drawing monitoring data curves,visualization queries of monitoring data, import and export of data, and so on. Changeof relevant physical quantities of slope deformation can be analyzed throughmonitoring data, and that can meet the requirement of timely feedback to all partiesparticipating in the construction. Besides, it can also realize the dynamic design andinformationized construction of modern design ideas.(4) Made the basic principles of selecting the slope monitoring equipment,features and the variety of scope, slope information design principles and theestablishment of monitoring programs and slope monitoring information managementsystem applied to the actual slope monitoring project, the practical application ofresearch theories and research systems is confirmed.
