With the development of the city, traffic jam problem become more and more serious. Traffic jams lead to traffic speed drop, which bring the environment pollution, drags improvement of livelihood and the quality of the people. Route guidance technology is an effective method that can improve the efficiency of road traffic and avoid traffic jams, and also is an important part of the field of intelligent transportation. Accurate and reliable information of traffic is the key and foundation data of route guidance system. Based on the literatures and previous works, this thesis has studied the two key problem of short-time traffic flow prediction and Route guidance technology. The main contents of this thesis are as fol-lows:1) Design a simulation experiment, used to verify the effectiveness of Map-matching algorithm based on road network and weight, it de-signed to simulate the process of real traffic information generated, which uses real data of vehicle GPS data, shows that the algorithm can get the average speed of roads.2) Design and implement short-term traffic flow prediction algo-rithm based on linear regression, Considering the linear regression, neural network, support vector machine, the final choice is linear regression, Because it is easy programming to implement. Use historical road speed data, Design input parameters of linear regression, so that it can effec-tively predict the short-term rate of road. Achieve an improved topologi- cal sorting algorithm to reduce memory usage, Design an experiment to test the accuracy of the algorithm.3) Design a Route guidance algorithm based on dynamic traffic in-formation. The algorithm design a dynamic weights according to re-al-time road speed and prediction speed, so that the algorithm can effec-tively avoid crowded roads in the future. Design a simulation for verifica-tion, and the experimental results show that the algorithm has certain va-lidity.
