In this paper, a parabolic trough solar thermal power generation system is studied.Thesoftware Transient System Simulation Program (TRNSYS) is used to simulate a parabolictrough solar power plant in Bai Lingmiao area, which is located in Inner Mongolia.A theoretical analysis is conducted on the concentrating solar field subsystem, theheat exchange subsystem and the electricity generation subsystem focus on heat transferfluid、steam and feedwater, get lots of equations that can determine the parameters andstates of the fluids. Then calculate the states and parameters by the equations.In the Simulation Studio, we call some models that in the software library, and webuild a macro-turbine model with a high pressure turbine with two extracts and a lowpressure turbine with five extracts. All the models are changed inputs and parameters bythe calculations, and then connected by the fluids flow directions. A climate date of BaiLingmiao published on the website of EERE is used as transient input for the simulation.In the control cards we set the simulation start time and stop time from0h to8760h with atime step of1hour.The author defines the cleanliness of the solar field and gives its calculation, and takesit as research object, simulates the relationships between it and the thermal efficiency ofsolar field, at last we get a liner fitting equation of them and a range of cleanliness of thesolar field that suitable for plant.The outlet temperature of the simulation is validated with a real plant in our country(the name of the real plant is not given for copyright issue), the source of error isdiscussed.We get the statistics of the collected energy and the net output of the solar field,contrast the meteorological data of Bai Lingmiao, and analyze the discrepant of DNI andnet output.Finally, the simulation got the generated energy of each month, as contract, we takethe output of SEGSVI Plant with and without afterburning here. And then analyzes thereason of the differences.
