With the development of flight technology, people choose plane which is moreefficient and convenient as a long-haul transportation and at the meanwhile putforward higher requirements to the safety of aircraft operations. Aircraft fuel system asone important component of the system plays an important role in safe flight of aircraftand is also a higher-frequency failure system. Troubleshooting and repair of fuel isimportant indicator of business skills for ground staff. How to make students able toefficiently and accurately grasp a variety of mechanical, electrical componentscommon faults of aircraft fuel systems and the corresponding repair methods becomethe direction of various countries in the field of aviation research and developmentefforts.The project design of the new locomotive platform overcomes the traditionaltraining and learning methods which relies solely on textbooks theoretical knowledgeand low frequency field observation, establishes a new aircraft fuel control andmaintenance test-bed for aircraft ground crew training. Each plug button and panellayout of the test-bed are fully in accordance with the layout of the cab aircraft whichcan make students troubleshoot immersive in order to improving the ability to spotstrain. The test-bed combines use of PC and PLC controlled manner. The PC as thecontrol center of the whole test-bed Integrates scheduling the operations andmonitoring each component in real time and could control operation of each device viaPLC. PLC receives the instructions of the PC to control each monomer simulation faultoutput and reset and timely feedbacks the information on the status of each simulationmonomer to the PC.The project has the following innovations: First, creatively putting forward theconcept of monomer simulation and design ideas, simulates various commonelectrical components’faults of aircraft fuel system via controlling the on-off of Relays.Second, transferring the information among the PC center, instructor computer andstudent computers using the OPC technology; Third, using SQL Server database to store data in order to ensure the security of the information.
