With the popularization and promotion of the use of vehicles, vehicle safety issues receive more attention of consumers, automotive OEMs to enhance their market competitiveness and meet countries gradually standardize traffic safety regulations, and the need to improve the safety performance of the car, now common safety equipment mainly driver airbag, front passenger seat belt airbags, side airbags, side curtain airbags and a variety of functions. In this paper, the use of multi-body software MADYMO established after frontal crash occupant restraint system model parameter optimization model design and analysis, in-depth study of the automobile active and passive safety issues. This paper describes the research questions, status of the program in order to focus on occupant restraint system for passive vehicle safety research at home and abroad. Then quoted the driver’s injuries are collision process guidelines, national regulations and the impact of a frontal collision of technical regulations. Then using multibody software MADYMO frontal impact restraint system for modeling, the main vehicle body model, airbags and seat belts finite element model, dummy, and then solve the model to calculate the output. Single model parameter sensitivity analysis done experiments to analyze the output of a change in various experimental parameters on the occupant restraint system and orthogonal test, the sensitivity range analysis of all variables for screening. Finally, according to the parameter sensitivity analysis, integrated use of experimental design to get the optimal solution, so that the optimized head and chest injuries occupant index decreased significantly, while other damage values changed little.
