As an important basic infrastructure to promote the development of national economy, the crane is playing a more and more important role in the national economic construction. However, due to the complex work environment, potential collisions between cranes exist during the collaborative work of several cranes, which may give rise to heavy losses. So it is of great significane to ensure the working safty of them. At present, cranes have already been equipped with anti-collision devices adopting laser, ultrasonic and infrared technology to avoid colllisions. But the laser, ultrasonic and infrared may easily be affected by weather or obstacles around. Aiming at these problems, an anti-collision system of cranes based on spatial attitude was developed in this paper by analysising the work situation of port cranes.The main contents include the following aspects:Firstly, the simplified models were built according to the structure characteristics of cranes, and then the collision situation and colliding parts of collision were analyzed. According to the parameters of position, velocity and angle measured by sensors in real-time, the attitude of models was determined. Anti-collision algorithm was designed on the basis of throughing calculating the shortest distance between cranes to judge whether the collision would happen or not.Secondly, the data acquisition, transmission and processing module of the system were designed. Through the analysis of short distance wireless communication mode commonly used, the networking mode of datas was decided. And then the construction of network of cranes was studied. Also this paper determined the data transmission format and realized the interaction of the cranes’ datas.Thirdly, a defending collide simulation experiment of cranes’ anti-collision system was carried in this paper. By calculating the operating parameters of cranes collected, the anti-collision function of cranes were realized.
