Research And Development Of Online Leak Sealing Technology Expert System

In the petrochemical industry, leakage from the production equipment always occurs due to the corrosion, the production fluctuation and other unfavorable factors. Because of efficiently handling the leak site in the case of non-parking, the online leak sealing technology is widely used in the various industries, which significantly reduces the economic losses of parking caused by plugging. It is found by the survey that the repair personnel are on the lack of awareness of norms and standards. Clamp design and construction work are always accomplished on the basis of the designer’s experience, which raises the risk of clamp failure. Additionally, manually design and clamp construction specified in the standards cost a lot of time, which lead to miss the optimal opportunity to plug the leak site. As a result, the online leak sealing technology expert system consisting of the pressure seal check, the clamp design, the CAD drawing, the auxiliary functions, the cases and other functions was developed by combining the theoretical foundation of standards, AutoCAD software, Access software and other necessary applications using Visual Basic language..The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) The relevant background of the online leak sealing technology was introduced. Through the demand analysis for the functional requirements of the online leak sealing technology expert system, the frame and the various sub-function modules were designed.(2) The online leak sealing clamp theory and structure design were investigated in detail. The existing online leak sealing design formulas were summarized. In addition, some parts of the flange and pipe sealing clamp design formulas were improved. Based on the above formulas, the online leak sealing clamp design module was built, which owned the rapid design features compared with the common online leak sealing clamp.(3) The existing AutoCAD secondary development approach was introduced. And the corresponding CAD development of practical technology was developed. Considering the online leak sealing clamp design features, software, hardware, system compatibility and other factors, the secondary development method of the CAD drawing module was developed using ActiveX Automation. It achieved the CAD simplified diagram drawing and CAD scale drawing functions. Additionally, it offered different options for different occasions clamp drawing, and effectively improved the drawing accuracy and efficiency of the engineering staff. (4) The online leak sealing database was built using the ADO database interface and control data binding technology on the basis of Access and Excel database processing software. It included the online leak sealing graphics library, the document library, the common parameters library, the cases library. The database covered HG/T20201-2007, GB/T26468-2011and other relevant standards with online leak sealing and special equipment regulations. Almost all types of clamp drawing were also involved in the relevant standards. Besides, the material allowable stress, the high temperature yield strength, the endurance strength specified in GB/T150-2011and the preservation of the existing cases were also involved. The online sealing database achieved the effective management of the database and the full use of the relevant data. It provided a basis for normal using functional module of the online leak sealing expert system.(5) The online leak sealing technology expert system was applied in a Dalian Petrochemical Company. It was demonstrated that it could effectively complete all aspects of the online leak sealing design work. It significantly reduced the workload of the designer, and effectively improved the efficiency of the overall aspects of the online leak sealing.
