| As an general machinery, the air compressor is widely used in machinery, mining, chemical, construction and other relevant departments. The noise level produce by air compressor is particularly high and the effect is large. Now it is one of the main noise source of environment. The high pressure and star air compressor related to this article is worked on the ship. The noise not only can cause the acoustic noise and vibration fatigue damage of some structure in the ship, but also can impact the normal work of instruments and equipment in the cabin to a certain extent. The service life of the ship and the equipment will be reduced finally. Thus, it is important to study the reasons that cause the noise of the high pressure and star air compressor excessive and take measures to control it.According to GJB4058-2000, the noise test for high pressure and star air compressor was carried on and the result showed that the noise was exceeded. The data was analyzed and the conclusion that the intake noise is the main noise source of the air compressor was obtained. It was proposed that right muffler should be designed to reduce the noise of air compressor. The intake noise was measured and the spectrum of intake noise was obtained. At the same time the main frequency band that needed to be reduced was clear. The influence of different structural parameters on the transmission loss of the muffler was analyzed through acoustic simulation software LMS Virtual. Lab. Combined with the spectral characteristic of intake noise of the air compressor, the intake muffler was designed. The transmission loss was calculated in LMS Virtual. Lab and the silencing effect to main frequency band was well. The pressure loss was calculated in Fluent and it met the requirement. Finally, the muffler designed was processed and mounted to the inlet, the last noise test result showed that the noise of air compressor was up to the standard. |
