While the powersupply system of the automobile is an important guarantee for modern automobile intelligent.The rapid development of microelectronic technology, application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) has been widely used in automotive control system. The electronic system is becomingincreasingly important in the automotive assembly, and this trend had put forward higherrequirements for automotive power generation system: including greater capacity, reliabilityand quality of power supply. In addition to high performance generator, a high performancecar power generation system requires a high-quality voltage regulator. Automotive voltageregulator is a core module of the vehicle power supply system; a high performance voltageregulator is an important guarantee of normal running of the vehicle.Multi-functional electronic voltage regulator can not only ensure the car generator outputvoltage stability under a variety of harsh environment, but also detect the automobile generator,the indicator lamp and the chip itself. The pre-excitation frequency, cut speed can be set tomeet the needs for different types of generators; at the same time, the chip also has theshort-circuit protection, over-current and thermal protection. To this end, after reverse analysisdomestic and foreign voltage regulator chips, a multi-functional voltage regulator chip whichcan adapt to a variety of models of automobiles is designed based on a bipolar process.In this paper, the chip of voltage regulator is by controlling the connection anddisconnection of the excitation coil circuit to regulate the voltage. According to the chipmodules, the reference voltage, the comparator, the oscillator, the phase detector, voltagedetection, the protection circuit, a logic control circuit and a drive circuit, etc. are analyzed indetail, and transistor level circuits are also given. Through simulation, the indicators havereached the design target. A multifunction voltage regulator designis achieved.Finally, the layout and verification of the layout is completed based on14.3.0μm SB40Vbipolar process ofHua Yue Microelectronics Co.. |
