Design And Development On The Switch-Excitation Regulator Based On DSP

Excitation system is an important part of synchronous generator. And it affects the operating characteristics of generator and power system directly. With the development of the large-scale integrated circuit and computer technology, the excitation regulator in which the microprocessor is the core component will be the trend in the future. With the improvement and development in excitation's control method, the higher request in operation and calculation ability of excitation regulator is put forward. DSP (digital signal processor), which has high-speed, remarkable ability in digital signals processing and abundant external expanded function, make its application expand from communication trade to the industry-controlled field. Under this background, this thesis studies the design and implement of switch-excitation regulator for synchronous generator based on DSP.In the paper we introduced the origination of the switch-excitation regulator and its principle mathematic analysis method firstly. Then explain the software and hardware on the excitation regulator. In the hardware of system, it introduces the detailed hardware of DSP excitation regulator, including the design of DSP peripheral circuit, digital circuit and LCD module etc. Meanwhile, he program realizes all the excitation regulate functions. And the software is programed with C and assembler language, which ensures that the software has clear structure and the short development cycle, at the same time, the high efficiency can be obtained. In this paper it adopts PID control technology to design excitation regulator of synchronous generator. The simulation experimental result shows that the regulator has perfect regulating control function and regulating characteristics.
