Pico-satellite is an important research area in modern aerospace technologies. It has characteristics such as small size, low weight and short design period. And it is welcomed by more and more people.As a key subsystem of the pi co-satellite, micro TT&C transponder mainly focuses on the communication between the satellite and the ground. It will greatly affect the achievement of pico-satellite. Compared with conventional satellites, pi-co-satellite may be more strict to the specifications of micro TT&C transponder, such as high reliability, low power consumption and so on.After10years of work by our team, we have already designed a minitype, low power consumption TT&C transponder. But with the development of modern aerospace, its shortcomings reveal gradually. So we try to improve and optimize the micro TT&C transponder we’ve had, following the principle of high reliability and low power consumption.In this paper, considering Single Event Effects in space, we use antifuse FPGA instead of DSP to do the baseband signal processing, aiming at improving the reliability of the whole system. Then, we find the main factor limiting the sensitivity of the receiver. Based on this, we put forward a new analog-digital mixing carrier tracking loop. It can improve the sensitivity of the receiver up to-110dBm. Finally, we add high speed data transmission module and RF front-end module to make our micro TT&C transponder a universal one. After testing and analyzing, our micro TT&C transponder satisfies all the specified indexes we expected.This micro TT&C transponder can operate at USB mode and data transmission mode separately. It has a size of160*100cm2. Its receiving sensitivity is up to-110dBm, power consumption is3.2W. It has obvious advantages among TT&C transponders at the same level.
