A multi-objective route selection method of road transport of dangerous goods with evenly consideration of transportation risks and transportation costs could effectively reduce transportation risk, and also be helpful for companies controlling transportation costs, supplying scientific and appropriate line selection decision for government regulators and road transport enterprises of dangerous goods. Based on the analysis of multi-objective selection mechanism of the road transport of dangerous goods, considering requirements of government regulators, road transport enterprises of dangerous goods and shippers for minimizing transportation risks and costs, a route multi-objective selection model for road transport of dangerous goods is built, and taking the route selection for secondary delivery of refined oil products of Beijing as an example to applying and verifying the model. During the study, the calculation method and correction factor of probability of dangerous goods road transportation accident are proposed innovatively, quantitative calculating for line selection index is implemented based on the cost of different line selection index. The main work of this paper concluding:(1) The analysis of multi-objective selection mechanism of the road transport of dangerous goods. By analyzing the characteristics of road transport of dangerous goods and routing management pattern, transportation risk and costs are determined as the main factors for selecting the transport route of road transport of dangerous goods; Risk factors during the process of road transport of dangerous goods are proposed based on analyzing occurrence law of typical accident, focusing on analysis the impact of road characteristics, weather conditions, traffic conditions brought to accident probability and consequences of the accident;(2) Building the route multi-objective selection model for road transport of dangerous good. The model is built base on the restraint of government regulators limit provision and the goal of requirements of road transport enterprises of dangerous goods and shippers for minimizing transportation risks and costs.(3) Building the risk model of road transport of dangerous goods. On the one hand, the calculation method of probability of dangerous goods road transportation accident are proposed innovatively, and correction factor is given based on the characteristics of Chinese road transport; On the other hand, the on method for calculating impact scope of accident consequences based on the simulation software ALOHA and geographic information processing software ArcGIS.(4) The application research of multi-objective route selection method of road transport of dangerous goods. Taking the route selection for secondary delivery of refined oil products of Beijing as an example, quantitative calculating for the transport risk and costs of transport routes is implemented, and multi-objective route selection is simulated furthermore; The results showed that the route multi-objective selection model for road transport of dangerous good and simulation method is scientific and reasonable, it not only meet all requirements, but also simplify the calculation with good maneuverability, could provide technical support of route selection for government regulators and dangerous goods road transport enterprises.
