As part of the engine, crankshaft is of crucial importance in the whole design ofthe engine. It not only affects the overall size and weight of the engine, but also to alarge extent affects the reliability and life of engine. Because the crankshaft work inthe combination of gas pressure varying periodically, inertia force caused byreciprocating and rotating movement, and the joint action of their bending anddistortion, showing compound motion of both bending and distortion. That makescrankshaft generate Severe fatigue stress thus causing fatigue failure. In addition, thetraditional design process of crankshaft is inefficient, labor-intensive andtime-consuming. So It’s significant to research on establishing crankshaft parametric3D modeling system and checking the structure strength analysis of crankshaft. This article, based on current research on CAD of the crankshaft, selects Pro/Esoftware as a research platform, more in-depth study the parametric modeling. Byextracting the characteristic parameters of the structure of the crankshaft, Accordingto the size of the driving principle,we use parameters-relations module, select thebore and the piston stroke as an active parameter changes establish a commoncrankshaft engine parametric modeling systems. And we creating a friendly interfaceby applicating the Microsoft Visual Studio programming techniques and Pro/Esecondary development of powerful features integratly, fully functional interactiveinterface parameterization, seamless connection between plug-on and Pro/E.Then this article performs architectural analysis and checking calculation for theestablished model. Based on above, this article develops a finite element single-throwparameterized model and analyze the influence on the maximum stress of thecrankshaft with the change of the main parameter, thus laying the foundation forfurther structural optimization of the crankshaft.
