Medium And Long-term Conservation Planning Study Of Highway Asphalt Pavement

With the rapid development of China’s highway construction, road maintenanceupgrade technology is increasingly important, but studies of highway maintenancetechnology, still in its infancy, can not fully meet the urgent need for highway maintenance,and European and American countries for conservation planning studies started earlier,implementation of the project is greater, while our studies on roads in recent years, only afew of them have carried out conservation planning. Currently in the domestic, manydeficiencies in highway maintenance still exist, such as insufficient attention of long-termcycle maintenance cost, shortage of scientific technique instruction, conventional idea ofmore construction less maintenance, the delay of the optimal maintenance time, and thewaste of the fund. This article, refering to some related domestic and abroad highwaymaintenance planning, gives research on the long-term conservation planning of highwayasphalt pavement.With comprehensive testing on current roads pavement structure of Beijing-HongKong-Macao (BHM) expressway in Hubei, pavement damage of the characteristics anddevelopment trends are analyzed to grasp its existing pavement performance, a pavementperformance (PQI) evaluation, pavement structure carrying capacity (PSSI) and anti-agingpavement evaluation are conducted, at the meantime a BHM highway asphalt pavementperformance prediction model is established. Combined with Beijing-Hong Kong-MacaoExpressway Asphalt Pavement Maintenance over the past years, some conservationtechnologies and their effects, including preventive maintenance techniques and correctivemaintenance technology are analyzed and demonstrated. Finally, a targeted, affordable,forward-looking medium and long-term (2011-2015) road maintenance planning is studied,which is applied to Hubei BHM expressway asphalt pavement, and it has certain guidance.
