Study Of Long-term Performance Observation Indexes Of Asphalt Pavement In China

The study of long-term pavement performance is a method and process, which aims at continually observing the performance of asphalt pavement and their influencing factors, establishing a data management and data analysis system of pavement performance, mastering the variation of pavement performance and their influencing factors over time, improving the design method of asphalt pavement and optimizing the pavement maintenance program. It has great practical significance in construction and maintenance management of our asphalt pavement to carry out the study of long-term pavement performance deeply.In this paper, firstly, the main types of pavement diseases and their influencing factors during the long-term service are investigated. Then, in order to research on the sensitivity of the influencing factors to pavement performance, mechanical calculation of the typical pavement structure and grey correlation analysis of survey data are done, which is one of the basis for determining the main observation indexes of the long-term performance study. At last, all the observations indexes of long-term pavement performance are determined by a number of data analysis of long-term performance test road, according to results of the study at home and abroad and the principle of "indexes associate with the long-term performance of pavement strong".The different index systems of two design methods are compared. One is the current design method of asphalt pavement. The other is the future design system of asphalt pavement. Based on the current and future design system, long-term performance observations indexes are determined, which has important significance to perfect and improve our asphalt pavement design method.This paper introduces the general situation of the LTPP test road and analyses the observation index and data collection content of LTPP. We supplement the observations index of long-term asphalt pavement performance by using the observed content and observation index of LTPP test road from America for reference.With the principle of realizable and alternative problems of indexes, we select all the long-term asphalt pavement performance observation indexes determined primarily, and confirm the final observation indexes of long-term pavement performance in China to guide the laying work of long-term performance test toad.
