With the development of the nuclear industry, the number of radioactive sourceis increasing rapidly. In recent years, the radioactive source is lost and stolen eventsoccurred frequently in our country, pose potential risks to public safety, and causingadverse effects on society. monitoring technology and management system of theradioactive source is not perfect in China. Relative lag of monitoring technology hasbeen unable to meet the requirements of the current environmental radiationprotection. So we need as soon as possible to develop a real-time effective monitoringand unified management of radioactive source monitoring system, to improveregulation technology, implementation of radioactive source automation,standardization, modernization of management objectives. The research project hasimportant research significance and application value.In this paper designed a mobile radioactive source of online monitoring system,Some key techniques, such as radiometry technology, GPS positioning, GPRSnetwork communication technology, GIS map information and database technologyhave been used in this system. The system can implement the basic level ofinformation management of radioactive source, location tracking, monitoring, tomaster the use and storage of the radioactive source in real time. Main contents of thispaper are as follows:1、by explaining the radioactive source monitoring terminal and monitoringcenter of system, the whole design scheme is brought forward.2、Design radioactive source monitoring terminal. The hardware design includesradiation dose measurement, data storage, GPS positioning technology and GPRScommunication and other module circuit design.3、Low dissipation design of GPRS communication transmission;AdoptedMCU and the module of sleep mode, reduce the power consumption of the wholemachine;4、Elaborated the system for location information technology innovations, usingthe GPRS mixed base station positioning+APGS+GPS positioning.5、The radioactive Source data monitoring center architecture solutions are introduced. The monitoring center can query at any time of the geographic locationinformation of each source, the radiation dose rate, as well as equipment battery andrelevant ID information, convenient for management personnel for tracking, queryand management.This system has passed the type test,This machine is put into trial operation andthe effect is satisfactory.The basic needs of the positioning of the radioactive sourcemonitoring function requirements.Effectively improve the efficiency of monitoringtechnology and the management of radioactive source.
