Energy problem is being attracted attention by more and more peoplenowadays. People all over the world are expecting the new source of energywhich is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. The emergence of electricvehicles becomes inevitable trend. So the battery problem is paid great attentionabout how to use it properly at home and abroad. Now, the management of thebattery is still not perfect, so battery monitoring system of car General PacketRadio Service is researched and developed.Battery monitoring system consists of lower machine that is installed on theelectric vehicles and upper machine which is composed of analysis software ofthe remote monitoring center on computer. Upper machines and lower machineshave a clear division of responsibilities, the various batteries and the informationof vehicles position are displayed by graphical interface, they make themonitoring of cars and batteries use more reasonably. STC12C5A60S2is the corecontroller of Upper machines, it transmits the information of the battery back tothe controllers through CAN bus, analysis and storage it. At the same time, itreceives signals from space satellite positioning through Gstart-GS-92-m-Jpositioning chip, and receives these signals through the terminal of the controller,and store these positioning data by anglicizing and sorting in the controller.Finally you can connect General Packet Radio Service network by SIM300andsend the battery data which was stored just now and satellite data to the uppermachines in faraway places change these data into graphics on the uppermachines. The graphics can make you see the state of batteries and cars clearly atthat time. The upper machines are the display software that is compiled by VC++and the various data from the lower machines is evolved into graphics.The research and development of this system has reached the goal includingthe low cost, high reliability, simple hardware environment and short development cycle. So people has collected relevant data on-board test stage andMonitored the batteries, and achieved their goals.
