Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of urban construction, solving urban drainage problem becomes an urge task. This cannot be solved by the traditional research on flood control and drainage. It becomes more and more important that the vertical planning and flood control and drainage model are integrated in urban construction. The GIS-based vertical planning does zonal analysis and determines the flood control and drainage model which can solve the drainage problem more effectively and directly.GIS, shorted for Geographical Information System, based on computer skill, put figures and table together related to location and other factors. It puts computer skill, geographic, CAD techniques, GPS techniques, remote control, network technique, multimedia technique into one harmoniously. GIS uses database technology and computer graphics for collection input storage, data processing and demonstration.Firstly, the paper introduces the GIS technique and its application in urban planning, and then puts forwards how to use it in vertical planning.Then the paper brings up a new concept that flood control and drainage should be integrated into vertical planning, and the optimization method of vertical planning under the guidance of this new concept. Combined with the north bank side of Xiaoqing River in Jinan, the paper builds the terrain model by GIS, and optimizes the vertical planning with this new concept on GIS platform. verifying feasibility, rationality and economics of the method. The study will provide direct guidance for urban vertical planning.
