Boiler steel frame is the main load-bearing structure, and it is a typical flexible structure.Domestic design of boiler steel frame mainly relies on the designer’s design experience, andcombined with the existing steel structure design software, designed with repeat design. Ittook the designer a lot of time and efforts to finish the mission under this design method, andthe result would not be accurate. Used the finite element method because of this reason, but ittook up to80%throughout the analysis time to build ANSYS structural analysis model, so thedesigner can’t master this method well. The issue processed secondary development on thebasis of the existing finite element analysis software, packaged ANSYS through VB6.0,developed a special software, it can generate APDL analysis file automatically, accomplishthe boiler steel structural analysis by calling ANSYS automatically.Introducing the ANSYS-APDL language and Visual Basic, summarizing the process offinite element analysis software’s development follow the principle of "looking for existence,summarizing existence, developing nonexistence", summarizing the general direction of theentire research. Introducing the boiler steel ‘s features, boiler steel analysis process, four loadsand four loads’ calculation, summarizing the most dangerous work condition. The designerjust need to input the data of boiler steel frame when accomplish the development of the finiteelement analysis software, the calculation sheet will be format when accomplish the analysis.Using Tianjin Baocheng Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. BCG-130/5.29-Mcirculating fluidized bed boiler steel frame as an example to verify the feasibility of thesoftware.First, introduce the method of VB program. Solve the problem that how to generate theAPDL by the VB program automatically, developing a simple interface software which cananalysis the structure accurately.Second, study the boiler steel frame’s loads. Study how to apply loads that can make theanalysis is much closer to the actual situation in the finite element analysis process, and howto achieve this through VB programming.Third, introduce the features of boiler steel finite element modeling, and summarize oflaw. Put forward the conclusion that modeling of the steel frame through controlling point.Count the section of the boiler steel frame that commonly used in the project. Developing adialog box which is used for create a cross-section, users need to select or create actualsection of the project, and control modeling of the steel frame by section type, and realize thetarget that different beam, pole and vertical support has different parts section.Fourth, post-process the results. Achieve results feedback, solve the problem that how tosave the results, how to check the result through images and text, how to generate thecalculation sheet, or strength analysis reports.
