With the advent of low-altitude sky space opening, the Chinese general aviation industry isnow developing rapidly.Especially for the small compact UAVs has been gradually expandingit’s usage scope with the advantage of small quantity, low cost, usage convenience, lowerrequirement for environment, survival ability in war field and so on. But most compact UAVsare mainly using gasoline piston engine as powerplant. But caused by the supply limitation ofgasoline in military area, the research for heavy fuel and wide-fuel is now becoming moreessential.A domestic company is now developing a engine which can use both gasoline and diesel asit’s fuel.Based on this topic, this thesis will put it’s main analysis towards crankshaft, usingGT-POWER software to establish engine combustion model, analyse stress of crankshaft, alsofinds out it’s stress concentration point by using Abaqus software to do finite element analysis, and to improve crankshaft’s strength to make it usable for both gasoline and dieselcombustion.Real engine on-stand test have been conducted for many times during the processof researching to testify the accuracy and reliability of calculation result of finite elementanalysis and simulation model.
