The traffic accident statistics reports show that about70percent of thesignificant and serious accidents have a link with the large passenger cars in all thetraffic accidents occurred in recent two years, and most of these serious accidentscan be traced back to the bus passenger terminal. As we all know, bus terminal is thesource of urban passenger transport, and it is also the forefront of road passengersafety and the important part to ensure the safe operation. A whole bus terminalwork is not only succeed in the daily production operations, but also searching andtreating the various hidden trouble, including the risks and hazards of trafficaccident and any other accident caused from the production processes, such as fire, producing casualties, etc.In the safety engineering system, the way to dealing with hidden trouble calledthe hazard identification and risk assessment. In this paper, the author attempts tocome up with a more feasible passenger hazard identification and evaluationmethods by applying this method to identify and evaluate the risk factors in busterminal, then it is expected to prevent and control the accident. This paper has analyzed the situation about hazard at home and abroad, thenfocuses on the basic theory of hazard identification and risk assessment. Throughthese analyzes and studies, the author has researched the hidden trouble in busterminal from three aspects, it is the improper operation of people, the unsafecondition of equipment and the vulnerability on management. And then the authorcomes up with the new method of hazard identification and evaluation which issuitable to the bus terminal. At last, the author take a bus terminal as an example, then he used the method of LEC to analyze the hidden trouble in this bus terminal, and finally, the author worked out some pertinence and maneuverabilitycountermeasures.
