Nowadays, as a mature measurement method, the electrochemical was already widely used in many fields related to the development of human beings., such as environmental monitoring, medical testing and many other cutting-edge researches relevant to biological, chemical and so on. In this thesis, an electrochemical workstation designed based on DSP (Digital Signal Processor) as the core was proposed, which can ameliorate the existing electrochemical workstation, increase the automatic range conversion function and improve its estimating peak function, thus enable the instrument to more accurately determine the electrochemical peak and undergo test. The design methods of the software and hardware on the electrochemical workstation were introduced in detail. In terms of the underlying drivers, the function of setting the measurement range cording to the current size was realized, thus the step of estimating the scope of the reactive current before setting the range was no longer needed. The PC software was developed with MFC, the designs of experiment control, data interaction, data processing, real-time display and data storage were all accomplished.In this thesis, the developments of electrochemical workstation at home and abroad and the application background of electrochemical were first introduced. After that, the overall design of electrochemical workstation was proposed, which mainly include:fundamentals of electrochemical reaction, the use methods of electrochemical, and the chip selection&overall structure of electrochemical workstation. Then the designs of hardware and software on the electrochemical workstation were described. For the aspect of hardware, the design of I/V conversion circuit, potentiostat, serial transmission circuit and waveform generation circuit were introduced in detail; For the aspect of software, the design of underlying drivers and PC software were included, the design and development methods for electrochemical experiments software module were expounded, and the software development methods for automatic range set and more accurate peak determine were mainly described. Finally, complete function test was processed to the prototype of the electrochemical workstation designed in this thesis; the results showed that this instrument can correctly accomplish electrochemical measurement, thus realized the full functions of the designed electrochemical workstation.Aiming at the advantages and disadvantages of the present electrochemical workstation at home and abroad, in this paper, a novel electrochemical workstation prototype was designed and realized. Relative to the same expensive instrument abroad, it had the advantages of low cost, lightweight and easy portability.
