As an electrochemical measuring instrument, electrochemical workstation is wildly used in biotechnology, nanotechnology and other area, especially in battery research. The production of battery has increased and demand boost for electrochemical workstation which support for high-precision rapidly battery capacity test. Beside capacity test, electrochemical workstation is essential in test for safety, while previous workstation based on single-chip microcomputer could no longer meet the market demand. To solve issues in workstation design such as system expansibility, this thesis proposes a new design for electrochemical workstation control module, which is based on FPGA + DSP platform. The main contents in this thesis include:1. Performing electrochemical test. As electrochemical test is basic function for electrochemical workstation, controller in electrochemical workstation will give excitation signals according to command by controlling bottom modules. Traditional single--microcontroller-based electrochemical workstation has relative simple structure and can only support few basic kinds of electrochemical methods. In contrast, electrochemical workstation designed in this thesis can provide as many as 23 kinds of electrochemical test methods.2. Improving excitation signals accuracy. Due to the complex structure of electrochemical workstation, output of electrochemical workstation was interfered by noise signal from multistage operational amplifiers and VGA. The control module can reduce the difference between the output signal and desired signal with close-loop control strategy. The key in this part is estimation for instantaneous amplitude of the AC signal. With PID algorithm, control module can reduce error in output channel.This thesis has performed the design and implementation of electrochemical workstation controller. After confirmation, control module designed by this thesis has fulfilled the design requirements.
