As road transport operator leader in human-machine systems, vulnerable traffic environment. Driver’s ability to quickly and accurately perform driving operation largely depends on its ability to obtain comprehensive information on road traffic outside. Domestic and international studies have shown that light environment as an important part of the traffic environment has an important influence on the driver’s lane. The illumination is too high or too low are all not conducive to driving: When light illumination is too low, resulting in the driver takes a long time, the impact of the driving operation, thereby affecting the traffic safety of the driver; when the light illumination is too high, the driving members accepted the light stimulus is too large, will also affect the driver’s driving operation. Therefore, seek to influence the state of the driver in a road traffic light environment for safe driving and driver to explore the physical and psychological comfort to make the driver feel light environment have great significance.Through the acquisition in real traffic environment prairie highway driver ECG, data processing and analysis of the collected statistical methods used to study the driver’s heart rate, heart rate, and LF/HF (low frequency and high frequency ratio) variation of three indicators with illumination. Final results:(1) in the range of 400-16000lx illumination of the driver’s heart rate and heart rate in the range of normal variation within this range is more appropriate illumination driver safety driving.16100-54600lx in heart rate and heart rate changes magnitude greater illumination range of the driver, a sense of psychological tensions, is not conducive to safe driving; (2) in the range of 400-130001x illumination driver’s sympathetic and vagus nerve in balance basically no mental load, help drivers safe driving. And in the 13100-31700lx illumination range and 33500-54600lx illumination range of the driver increased sympathetic activity, heart rate regulated accounting for a dominant position, the driver mental workload increased physiological stress increased heart, is not conducive to safe driving.
