Automatic biochemical analyzer was used very widely in clinical, it can provide powerful basis for the diagnosis of clinical disease and accurate judgment by detecting the content of a specific chemical composition in the blood quickly,. It bases on the biochemical reaction and determine the absorbance of reaction solution by spectrophotometric method, so detects the content of the substance to be measured in the liquid. At present, the test method and the technology is mature, the products are becoming diversification and serialization.POCT(point-of-care testing), namely real-time inspection, it has a series of advantages, such as small volume, portable, rapid detection, simple operation, low comprehensive testing costs, large market potential and so on. It has becomed an important development trend of vitro diagnostic instrument. The traditional large full automatic biochemical analyzer has some disadvantages compared with POCT automatic biochemical analyzer, it is main show in expensive, complex operation, large volume, sample turnaround time is long, patients can’t get the results timely and don’t convenient to see a doctor and treatment immediately and so on. It don’t conform to the requirements of the clinical departments, social rehabilitation center, basic hospitals, family and emergency.This paper is mainly for hardware system design of POCT automatic biochemical analyzer, including mechanical system, liquid system and circuit system. The design of the whole system used the secondary structure, which composed of master control system and each function module unit, don’t need configure a PC to control, reduce the complexity of instrument design and the volume of the instrument.The main control system adopts NXP company ARM7 series LPC2478 as a processor. This topic aims to design a POCT automatic biochemical analyzer which has the characteristics of moderate price, miniaturization, simple operation, easy to get test results and so on.During the research late, we assembled the hardware system and the mechanical parts has existed, combined with the design software by the second party, tested on temperature accuracy and volatility, stray light and absorbance related indicators. Lots of experiments showed that the various parameter reach the "YY/T0654-2008 pharmaceutical industry standard of the People’s Republic of China –automatic biochemical analyzer". Combined with the test of clinical samples, further verify the feasibility of system design, related performance indicators of the equipment reached the design requirements basically.
