With the continuous development of intelligent transportation around, the people’s demand for video surveillance is growing, especially in the car terminal requirements are also increasing. The current vehicle monitoring terminal, single function, remote interaction is relatively weak, data transmission quality low. In order to overcome the vehicle monitoring terminal on the market currently exist many defects, and adapt to the current network environment, this paper designs and develops a 3G highway vehicle monitoring terminal. This paper describes the hardware and software aspects of the design of the vehicle monitoring terminal, the main work is summarized as follows:1. This paper analyzes the status quo vehicle monitoring terminal, according to the deficiencies of the existing schemes, proposes a design of vehicle monitoring terminal which is scheme versatile, easy to interact and high transmission efficiency, and design the hardware framework and software framework. According to the general software and hardware architecture, Choice the core processor scheme, wireless communication scheme and streaming media data transfer protocol. Finally determine DM365 processor as the core, WCDMA as the wireless communication platform and RTP / RTCP protocol as the wireless transmission protocol.2. Around the hardware platform of TI’s DM365 minimum system, completed design and development of the hardware circuit of vehicle monitoring terminal peripherals. By function, divide acquisition module, human-computer interaction module, wireless transmission module and power module. And achieve PCB production according to the schematics of the vehicle.3. According to the proposed software framework, focusing on the acquisition module and wireless transmission module software design of vehicle monitoring terminal. Acquisition module makes the driver and application design of PTZ control, audio data acquisition and GPS data collection, and implements data acquisition functions. Wireless network transmission module implements the network dial-up access, and according to the congestion problems that exist in wireless transmission, Propose an adaptive congestion control mechanism based on RTP/ RTCP protocol, Design the RTP transmission procedures and RTCP adaptive feedback procedures, to complete the transmission of data, to improve the transmission performance.After testing, this vehicle monitoring terminal nice to achieve the functionality,meet the indicators and meet the design requirements.
