Along with the increasing complication of the battlefield electromagnetic environment, weapons and equipment in military exercises or actual combat environments are facing more and more intensive electromagnetic interference. In order to achieve the synergy of the battlefield operational requirements, improve vehicular battlefield survival ability, it appears to be very urgent to do reasonable and effective analysis of the effect of potential threat. This paper has completed the numerical modeling of two kinds of vehicles, based on the vehicular electromagnetic compatibility, and by means of the vehicular electromagnetic modeling and simulation technology. On one hand, the distribution characteristics of vehicular body surface current are simulated with radar pulse sources of different frequencies and incident angles. A good agreement is found between the preliminary simulation results and the actual test data. On the other hand, under the condition of a given test scheme, the vehicular surface current effect are simulated by changing the working frequency, test distance, test location, rotation angle and polarization characteristics of the test antenna. According to the simulation results, the details of the scheme are optimized to some extent and notes in antenna using process are proposed. This paper preliminarily explores the effect of external radiation sources on vehicular body surface current, and some qualitative theoretical guidance is provided for failure analysis. The result of the study is the basis of optimizing vehicular layout, and it is of great value in engineering application to improve military vehicular electromagnetic protection comprehensively.
